East Dunbartonshire Council are looking for a Pipe Band Drumming Teacher to work across its schools. Application deadline is Tuesday, February 8 – a week today! The contract is offering a fixed term, part-time position of 14 hours per week. The purpose of the role is:
- To contribute to the delivery of high quality instrumental instruction, on instruments within the employees’ areas of expertise, to individuals and small groups of pupils in primary and secondary schools through lessons and activities organised as part of the instrumental music programme.
- Where appropriate, to contribute to the delivery of The Youth Music Initiative in East Dunbartonshire Council.
- To support the provision of extra curricular music activities including residential courses, rehearsals, concerts, recitals and group performances designed to engage young people in music making and performance.
- To contribute to the support offered to those pupils, on the timetable, who are candidates for SQA examinations and to encourage a high standard of preparation and musical performance.
- Support the performance of the Instrumental Music Service through a culture of team work and flexibility, contributing to the overall success of the Council.
- Work to continuously improve service delivery and performance of the Instrumental Music Service.
