The North Uist Games were held on Friday, July 15, at Balelone Field, North Uist. Games secretary, Ada Campbell, said: “We had a very enjoyable day with good weather too. We had four Senior pipers, two from Skye and two local, and their performances were very much enjoyed.
“The judges were Moira Robertson from Fort William who did the Seniors and James MacLean who did the Juniors. Ian Macdonald of Glen Uig had to call off at the last minute and grateful thanks go to Moira for stepping in.
“Decker Forrest, Skye, and Fiona MacLean who is local from Grimsay, took part in all four Senior events. Gilleasbuig MacVicar, Skye, and Calum Beaton who is local from South Uist, did not enter the Piobaireachd but competed in all the others.
