The Tynecastle Youth Community Pipe Band is looking for a piping and a drumming tutor to deliver lessons at Tynecastle High School in Edinburgh and its associated primary schools, as well as running accessible, inclusive band practices on a Tuesday and organising performances. 

The programme is managed by the TYCPB Support Group which is a constituted voluntary organisation. The post-holder will report to the committee.  The size of groups will initially be up to five, but reducing to three as the learners develop 

The tuition method will be predominantly in-person, with potential to use online methods. The length of and individual session will be half an hour per week, over 30 weeks annually. 

Weekly band practice will be 1.5 hours per week on a Tuesday from 4.00-5.30pm, with the potential to add another weekly session. 

Piping provision: 12 hours per week across schools 
Drumming tuition: 8 hours per week across schools.
