Stuart Liddell was the winner of the Pipe Major Alasdair Gillies Memorial Recital for 2023. Stuart played first and his piping and entertaining showmanship received a rapturous response from the large audience.

Earlier in the evening, 15-year-old Cameron Bonar from Canada won the final of Pipe Idol receiving a set of Fred Morrison Reel pipes as his prize.
