Connor Sinclair retained the Ardmore Cup yesterday, February 24, in Ardmore, Waterford, Ireland. This years competition featured ten top pipers: Alister Donaghy, Chris Earls, James Frazer, Bruce Gandy, Angus MacColl, Willie McCallum, Connor Sinclair, James Stone, Alen Tully and Scott Wallace. 

Judges were David Caldwell, Tim Farrelly and John Wilson.  The contest was organised by Eric M. Stein who runs the SunBelt competition which takes place in November in Orlando, Florida, and the Metro Cup which took place on February 16 and 17 in New Jersey. There was €5,250 prize money up for grabs this year in the Ardmore Cup.

There were two premier events, an MSR where competitors submit three sets, and a Medley that must include one Irish tune. The results are below:

The chanter event was won by Ben Cardy of County Down. Ben received a set of vintage Henderson pipes donated by Michael Glennon. Connor Sinclair was the judge.
