Friday at Piping Live! 2023 brings the opportunity to complete your Pibroch Network Conversation, and be part of the Piping Live! Street Cafe Big Session. Last year’s Big Session was a cracker, so bring your bellows pipes, whistles, fiddles, guitars, bouzoukis, mandolins… whatever, and session in the Street Cafe from 2.30pm and in The Piper’s Tryst from 5pm
In between those events you can catch some Street Cafe performances, see Anna Smart perform a recital at Kelvingrove Museum, or maybe even some Grade 1 bands at the World Pipe Band Championships on Glasgow Green.
The Friday Night Folk concert is a headline performance from progressive Scottish traditional music trio Project Smok at Stereo in Glasgow City Centre. They will be supported by BBC Radio Scotland Young Trad Musician of the Year 2022 – Eryn Rae and her band.
