The opening night of Celtic Connections is one month away, with the 30th anniversary concert beginning the festival on Thursday, January 19, 2023 in the main auditorium of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Ross Ainslie is part of a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ line-up of musicians who will perform on the opening night.
Ross is involved in at least four other concerts with Treacherous Orchestra, a trio with Brìghde Chaimbeul, at trio with Ali Hutton and as a special guest with Trio Da Kali. These four concerts are part of a mouth-watering offering of more than fourteen concerts, and four days of Pipers’ Tryst session workshops, from Jan 19 till Feb 5 which will feature Highland pipes or bellows pipes. There is surely at least one concert to suit the taste of any piper, and tickets might prove to be the perfect last-minute Christmas present this week.
These concerts have been added to our Upcoming Events Calendar which can be viewed here, or and an excerpted version can be seen to the right-hand side of each bagpipe.news page. A quick list of links to each concert has been provided below.
